Fair Trade Your Supermarket: Save Your Receipts

Managers will stock Fair Trade products if it means good business for them. To demonstrate to managers that you are a loyal and frequent costumer, collect your receipts for a month and let them know you would like to spend your grocery dollars on Fair Trade items at their store (also, let them know all the things you like about their store and how Fair Trade would be an additional reason to pick their store over others.)

Better yet, gather together a group of friends or members of your community and collect a receipt pool to convey the buying power of your whole group.

If you are not making any progress, and the store does not make an effort to stock Fair Trade items, you can let them know you will do your shopping elsewhere.
